The Story at a Glance
Rama Natha is a farmer who refuses to put in hard work. He spends all his time and money trying to find a mysterious magic potion that can turn any object into gold — without having to work for it.
A wise sage sees through his laziness and comes up with a clever plan. He asks Rama Natha to plant banana trees, collect morning dew from the leaves every day, and fill a bottle with five litres of dew. Only then, the sage promises, will he convert it into the magic potion.
Six years pass. Rama Natha works tirelessly — planting, watering, collecting dew. His wife Madhumati sells the bananas in the market and earns gold coins. When Rama Natha finally brings the bottle to the sage, the sage reveals the truth: there is no magic potion. The only magic is hard work itself.
